I have just adopted a puppy named Pepper. She's awfully cute as you can see. She's pretty shy, but getting over it--to the extent that she is now jumping on me. Does anyone have any tricks for teaching puppies not to jump on people?
I wish I did. I guess when she jumps on you, you can push her down firmly (but nicely) and say, "Down, Pepper!" Hold her for a minute and then tell her she's a good dog and love on her. It's worth a try!
By the way, it's unanimous -- we think she's a keeper!
